The 2008 Calgary Stampede Heavy Horse Show will host the 24th annual National Shire Show of Canada. It will be held at Stampede Park, in Calgary, Alberta, and will attract exhibitors from several provinces and a few states in the U.S.
In addition to twelve separate halter classes for Shire breeding horses, halter classes will be held for Shire geldings, as well as several all-breed youth classes, and riding classes.
There will be combined Shire/Clydesdale driving classes, and all breed performance
classes for cart, team, unicorn, four’s & six’s. Sunday, July 6, the six horse hitch championship will be featured.
